Marcos Cruz served as key art & unit stills photographer on The Red Sea Diving Resort, the Netflix spy thriller written and directed by Gideon Raff and shot across South Africa and Namibia. The film dramatises Operation Brothers, the covert Mossad mission that used a beach-front holiday resort on the Sudanese coast as a front to smuggle thousands of Ethiopian Jewish refugees to safety. Working alongside cinematographer Roberto Schaefer and a cast led by Chris Evans, Michael K. Williams, Haley Bennett, Ben Kingsley and Greg Kinnear, Marcos delivered the stills programme that fed the film's marketing, publicity and on-set archive — balancing the sun-bleached postcard surface of the resort with the tension of the rescue unfolding behind it. The resulting frames carried that dual identity into Netflix's global launch campaign in 2019.
